Who we are
Indivisible Cumberland County (ICC) is a group of volunteers in the Cumberland County area of Maine.
ICC exists to build a trustworthy and internally supportive community that meets regularly and enables its members to:
Resist the current administration's anti-democratic and unconstitutional actions.
Proactively defend civic institutions and vulnerable communities.
Keep pressure on elected representatives to fulfill their constitutional roles.
ICC matches people with people, actions, and groups to empower them through information and other means to participate in our democracy.
ICC Goals
Strengthen community spirit for what’s ahead.
Give voice to our emotions in these difficult times.
Share plans on what we want to offer each other going forward.
Learn from past movements and history that can inform how we make meaning now.
ICC Principles
Nonviolence (we focus on communications and actions)
Transparency (meetings are open, information is freely available, and sharing is encouraged)
Inclusivity (people of all demographics and political viewpoints are welcome)
